"I've been cooking school BBQs on a Heatlie for 5 years. The Rolls Royce, Toyota Landcruiser of BBQs. If you're serious about BBQs, get a Heatlie."

"Dear Heatlie, Just did our first school BBQ on our new Heatlie, and what a magnificent machine it is! We cooked and served over 400 sausage sandwiches in less than an hour. We cooked 150 sausages at a time in three rows of 50. Completely even heat distribution through our 10mm mild steel hot plate meant all the sausages cooked evenly and quickly - at low heat seating. The fat drained quickly and cleanly through the fat gutter and down-pipe into the fat can. Quite frankly a feat of engineering and plumbing that makes the Roman Aqueducts look like a rusted muffler on a Ford Falcon station wagon. I had previously suggested the Heatlie BBQ is the V8 turbo diesel Landcruiser of BBQs. That is inaccurate. The V8 Turbo Diesel Landcruiser is not perfect. The Heatlie BBQ is."

"Cooking today just cruising on low heat at 360 SPH (Sausages per hour). Even heat on the well seasoned 10mm mild steel. Just doing it easy. Like a Rolls-Royce on the Stuart Highway. Having just seen Top Gun 2, I’m inspired to push the envelope on the Heatlie. Go for a record in Max SPH (sausages per hour). Im thinking 3 rows of 55. Can I get 4 hot plates done in 1 hour? 660 SPH? Is there a current SPH record?"

"I first saw them at an agricultural field day in Lucindale and was impressed enough to keep the name in my memory for when I needed to replace the old BBQ. I eventually bought the 5mm mild steel 1150mm version around 15 years ago. It has never missed a beat and the ribbon burners are so much better than the usual cross burners. I can easily cook for 20-25 people in a single load and do not have to contend with the limitations imposed by a BBQ that is mostly a grill with a tiny hotplate - why are most BBQ's built like that these days??? When it comes down to cooking, all hotplate is far more practical and it is so much easier to keep clean. Recently we updated our pergola area and my wife wanted a new fancy looking BBQ with a hood. Unless you are willing to spend $3-4,000 or more, they are generally rubbish, and besides she never cooks on it. Rather, it was all about show. There was no way I was going to part with the Heatlie and the only viable compromise in my eyes was to get a Weber Q and sit it alongside the Heatlie. Mind you, I doubt I'd use the Weber Q very often. It will always be the Heatlie."

"The only thing better than owning a Heatlie BBQ...is owning two of them. They're indestructible and flatter my mediocre cooking skills."

"Sure, they are more expensive than the junk you buy from Bunnings, but I use my Heatlie heaps and will have it for years to come. I forgot I still had food in the warming drawer two hours later, still good and not dried out. Best barbecue I've ever had 👌."

"We've had our Heatlie for 10 years now. Working as well now as the first time we fired it up. We have seen the neighbours retire their various BBQs out to hard rubbish & purchase new ones during this time. Not us, our Heatlie will be good for years to come. Good South Aussie company 👍."

"I bought an Island Gourmet Elite in the biggest size and I have to say I'm very impressed with it! It heats awesomely and quickly. It does get warmer on the top left end but not by much and once I got used to that, I was able to use it to my advantage. Best BBQ I've ever had, by far! I've recommended it to several people who have seen it in action and asked about it."

"Bought three BBQs (All stainless steel 1150s 30 years ago... I was the truck driver delivering the stainless used in fabricating the products there). I kept one and two were given to family members as gifts by me. They are still being used today and still perform and look as good as they did way back then. Quality product that will last generations if cared for properly! Well worth the investment! Highly recommended by me."

"Bought ours 15 years ago. Best investment in a BBQ ever. Easy to use, easy to clean, works reliably, still see no reason to change. Looking forward to many more years of trouble-free Australian Made barbecuing. Thank you for making a great product Heatlie."

"Top notch. Best BBQ on the market - no doubt. Had the drop-in in my man cave for years. Even heat, easy to light, cleans in a minute. Looks brand new. Aussie built. You have to pay for quality and I'm proud I did. Well done and keep it up Heatlie."

"Heatlie BBQs - these are the best BBQs - The Bentley of BBQs, a German mate of mine calls them. I have two of them, both are more than 10 years old and they run perfectly. When my friends talk about BBQs...I explain why Heatlie's are the best hotplate BBQ money can by. They are made too well and last too long and therefore you don't turn them over like a lot of rubbish on the market. I can thoroughly recommend these BBQs and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed."

"Simply the best BBQ ever made. All stainless steel including plate is exceptionally good once seasoned. Good customer service provided. Above the rest in heating distribution and professionally manufactured in Australia."

"I realised my Heatlie BBQ is over 20 years old now. Pretty sure I bought it in 2001. It's still going strong...you will NEVER see one of these on the curb for bulk rubbish pickup. They're built to last and will survive the most neglectful owners (aka me). Anyway, we dont get many chances to buy Australian made anymore, so if you can, do it. It's worth it."

"I have been taken with the reliability, the predictable way the plate heats and the perfect way food cooks. BBQing with a Heatlie BBQ is a very pleasant experience. We are lucky in South Australia, to have such an accomplished high quality product that with the traditional Aussie BBQ, has become an Adelaide institution for excellence."
