Carne Asada Tacos
Looking for a great way to utilise the high heat of a Heatlie hot plate? Cook a steak, then turn it into delicious Carne Asada Tacos.
Ingredients
- Ribeye Steak
- Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lime freshly juiced
- 1 orange freshly juiced
- Freshly chopped coriander
- Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Method
- Combine above ingredients to form marinade
- Marinade whole steak for several hours, the longer the better.
- Pre-heat Heatlie to high and sear steaks for a few minutes either side. These are best kept to medium to retain the flavours and moisture of the marinade.
- Assemble in tacos with toppings of your choice. We went with pico de gallo, cheese and gauc.
